"The Giver"

E. What is the mood of this novel? Do you find this novel saddens you in any way? Why?

- I think the mood of this novel is sometimes cheerful because of the children's expectations for their own assignments. However, sometimes, the children are very serious about their assignments and what they do in their ages. I kind of feel sad for children because they there are rules that they have to follow so they have to wait until they get older and older. In Jonas's age, they are about to have an assignment so they are about to change little bit more than other kids. Their assignments are really important because the job they assigned for their selves is what they have to do in their lives.
