"The Giver"

B. Are there any current situations in the world that relate to the novel? What are they, and how do they relate? Does the novel shed any light on how current situations could be resolved or "fixed"?

- The back of the book, it says that "There are no choices. Every person is assigned a role in the community." and I think that's related to the workers who came from poor countries to Korea or other countries to make money. They have to do what their boss says and some unfortunate workers injured when they work. I think the workers who are poor are related to this quote ("There are no choices. Every person is assigned a role in the community."), and this novel. There are thousand of people who don’t have their own choices in the world. They assigned by who had authority. Usually, people who don’t have their own choices, they are poor so they obey people who gives them things to do. I am not done with this novel but I think there are no choices to the people who are in the Jonas’s community and also the other community people.
